Acid/Alkaline Balance

Many years ago in 1989 whilst undergoing basic field training, on the very 1st exercise in the field away from Lympstone ( CTCRM) on Woodbury common.

After a foray into the woods & very basic introduction to fieldcraft! we were informed we would have our 1st kit inspection in the field environment

&

That our mess tins required to be cleaned of carbon acidification from cooking animal fats etc

( To all's consternation as we had no cleaners or cutting agents in order to carry out said task )

To which we were informed that fresh grass ( morning dew laden grass ) would do the trick as full of Alkaline & a positive charge of energy due to the rising sun .

We all thought the DS ( Directing Staff had lost the plot )

( This was not the case to our amazement , the dewy grass did the trick & cleaned all our mess tins bright & shiny ready for inspection )

This has influenced everything from that point on , as it is the foundation of health namely

pH Balance

In order to be healthy we require a slightly alkaline environment

Of course limit the toxins that we ingest or are exposed to whether exoteric ( environmental ) or esoteric ( emotional )

Speaking of which, Whilst taking the group attestation on joining the Corps

the Sgt Major asked what we all wished to do in said service, he clocked this call signs grid & asked ,

one answered Chef sir , he said that's the hardest course in the Royal Marines , given that no one had passed yet!

As funny as that was, in ones youthful minds eye, one actually wished to be a Nutritional Guide for SB /SC & the Corps as a whole as was aware that the wrong Scran was being prepared & eaten by all the hairy assed Bootneck's in the Corps & indeed the World Population

Whilst on Survival Training we were given a load of Chickens & Rabbits to Kill , One refused to kill the rabbit & as we were in teams of 2 ( opo bonding ) ones opo for said exercise killed it, so the DS were somewhat Threaders with this call sign at that point, they came out to remonstrate this haughty 19yr old , although could not find one , as one was rather adept at building shelters naturally from the front to back ( so could not be seen ) So they called one out , asking of what one was up to , one expressed that was making kebabs with the rabbit as was not going to waste it as it was dead.

That was somewhat of a discombobulation for the DS, so they said that's all very well " How do we know that you can kill " so one expressed that would kill him now 

( In other words leave the innocent alone as you are not innocent & if anyone deserved to die it was him!)

Well that went down like a lead balloon ( certainly broke their train set ) Hilarious actually as they were Viscerally RepHlected on the spot, That was the 1st of many instances that one Viscerally RepHlected Those that would lead us.
